Sustainability Waste Alliance Benefits From iPREP WA Student Team

Sustainability Waste Alliance participated in iPREP Round 3 2020.

Sustainability Waste Alliance (SWA) is made up of representatives from Main Roads Western Australia, Bunbury Harvey Regional Councils, the South West Regional Waste Group, South West Development Commission, Regional Development Australia-South West and the Noongar Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Alliance has a goal of increasing waste diversion of 20% across South West WA and the creation of long term local jobs in the waste sector.

The iPREP team contributed to the development of a Recycle First Plan for the Boundary Outer Ring Road (BORR) project. The Plan supports opportunities for increased recycled content in road construction in the South West beyond the BORR.

The student team consisted of Robert Weymouth (Curtin), Asha Ramachandran (Curtin) and Mona Arabshahi (Curtin). Check out the outcomes achieved by this great iPREP WA team!
